Ambassador (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo, CEO of Pelican Valley, has been appointed patron and leader of the Abeokuta unit of the Al-Huda Al-Mukhtariyah International Prayer Mission, an arm of the Muhammad Rasulullah Islamic Centre (MRIC) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

This appointment comes as the group, which boasts over 250,000 members across social media platforms, expands its reach to Abeokuta.

The appointment was announced by His Eminence Sheikh Ahmad Ibrahim Bukhari Al-Mukhtar, National Missioner of the group, on Sunday, May 26, following the group’s inaugural prayer session hosted by Adeyemo at The Podium, Pelican Valley Estate, Laderin, Abeokuta. Adeyemo will lead the Abeokuta unit of the group, which was created by Sheikh Mukhtar.

The event, tagged ‘Total Breakthrough’ with the mantra ‘KUN FAYAKUN (Be and it is)’, marked the first of its kind in Abeokuta and signifies a new chapter for the group in the city.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mukhtar commended Adeyemo on hosting the prayer session, saying it portrayed the Islamic moral in his life style and business by putting God first in all his endeavour and maintaining integrity and honesty in his interactions with people.

The sheik also prayed for upliftment of his business and all the members of the Group in Ogun state, Nigeria and across the globe

Earlier, the clergyman harped on the importance of prayer to man, saying God has used the group to answer prayers of many people in Nigeria and other countries.

According to him, Abeokuta is a special land that should not be ignored when it comes to immediate answering of prayers.

He noted that Pelican Valley Estate, where the Abeokuta inaugural prayer platform was held, could be compared to similar sessions in Texas, United States of America. adding that out of the 36 states in Nigeria where the group had members, Ogun state is the only state to host the prayer twice and the third state to host the prayer in the history of the group.

in his remarks, Adeyemo commended the effort of the National Missioner of the group towards changing the narrative and promoting Islam across the globe.

The real estate entrepreneur and promoter of Oko Opo Foundation, expressed his pleasure to host such gathering in his estate where people pray to God, and how he was always excited to see people of like-minds do things together.
