As schools resume, parents have raised concerns over the economic situation of the country.

This is as parents and guardians visited bookshops and markets to buy school uniforms, exercise books and other stationeries for their wards as well as making payment school fees.

They also urge the government to give more priority to the education sector for the advancement of the country.

However, teachers had earlier had pre-resumption meeting last week to fill diaries and other records in a bid to ensure commencement of academic activities on the first day of resumption.

The Zonal Chairman, ANCOPSS, Mrs. Bosede Oke said all measures has been put in
place by teachers as directed by the state government through its ministry of education.

Mrs. Oke also stressed the need for academic activities to start on the first day of resumption, calling on parents and guardians to release their children as lessons commence without any delay.
