Oyo State Assembly Approves N10 Billion Loan for Development Projects

The Oyo State House of Assembly has given its approval for Governor Seyi Makinde’s request to secure a N10 billion loan facility to support World Bank-assisted projects and UBEC-SUBEB matching grants.

The loan, which will be obtained from Fidelity Bank, has a repayment period of 30 months.

According to the governor’s letter to the House, the loan will help complement the state government’s efforts to improve the welfare of citizens and drive development in the state.

Lawmakers have urged the governor to prioritize projects that will enhance the living standards of the people.

This loan approval is expected to support key development projects in the state, including education and infrastructure initiatives.

The state government has assured citizens that the loan will be utilized judiciously to drive growth and development in Oyo State.
