The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OyoSUBEB) has announced that the computer-based test for recruiting teachers into primary schools in the state will take place from July 22 to July 26, 2024.

According to the Board’s Chairman, Nureni Adeniran, 50,097 applicants have qualified for the test, and individual exam schedules have been communicated to them via email and phone.

“The specific date and time for individual applicants had already been communicated to them through their emails and or phone numbers,” Adeniran said.

The exam will be held at the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre, Computer Based Testing Centre, Ajibode, Ibadan, and applicants must bring two print-outs of their admission slip to enter the exam hall. Successful candidates will proceed to oral interviews.

Adeniran emphasized the importance of adhering to the scheduled time and date, stating, “Applicants must adhere strictly to the time and date sent to them by the Board, as loitering around the centre would not be condoned.”

The Chairman also reiterated the Board’s commitment to a credible exercise, saying, “No applicant should rely on hear-says. The Board will always give you updates on each step of the exercise, so please beware of scammers.”

He added that the Board is making efforts to conclude the exercise on time so that successful candidates could be quickly injected into the system, to join in the ongoing reforms of the basic education system in the state.
