Oyetola Lauds Workers, Says Their Welfare Remains A Priority.

Governor, State of Osun Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has described workers in the State as pillars of support for his administration
and partners in progress.

The Governor gave the description in his office on Wednesday when he received leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and the Joint Negotiation Council with their allied
bodies on a congratulatory visit.

Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress,State of Osun chapter,Comrade Jacob Adekomi referred to the Governor as the real stabilizer of the existing peace between the State government and workers since his days as the Chief of Staff.

He said the Governor deserved all encomiums for his commitments to welfare of workers.

Comrade Adekomi however encouraged the Governor to revive car and housing loans as part of the package to motivate
workers.

The labour leader equally charged Mr Oyetola to confirm General Managers and Executive Secretaries who have been in active capacities for long and will be out of service soon.

In his remarks, Governor Gboyega Oyetola thanked workers for believing in him and for the patience with his promise to pay all
the arrears owed them.

Governor Oyetola who was flanked by his deputy Mr Benedict Alabi added that continuity has helped him to understand labour issues and make commitments.

The Governor gave kudos to the labour for not buying into lies peddled by few pensioners about the Paris Club Refund.

He charged workers to always explore dialogue in their legitimate demands.

Governor Oyetola warned workers against fraud by way of mismanagement and embezzlement of public funds.

The Governor promised to look into the matter of Uniosun workers who are having problems with the management as a result of misconduct, assuring that the issue would be resolved soon.
