The Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa kingdom, HRM Oba Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, yesterday charged graduands of Iloko Model College to be good ambassadors of the college and the country and put to use all they had learnt to the betterment of society.
Owaloko, who gave the charge during the valedictory service ceremony of the school, warned them to shun vices, such as cultism, drug abuse, prostitution, examination malpractices and immoral activities
He congratulated the graduands for their handwork, which resulted in their successes, charging them to contribute their quota in nation building.
He further asked them to identify their purposes, visions and mission in life, stressing that although most of them have graduated many years ago, the knowledge and skills they have acquired as students would help them to excel and face the challenges that may come their ways.
Owaloko commended the students for the supports given to the school authority, saying that being the students of the college is another experience in life.
He further tasked parents and guardians to give support to their wards, urging them to teach the young ones the way of the lord, in addition to morals and values, as that will go a long way to curbing vices in the society.
