The Hon. Speaker of the 7th Assembly in Osun State, Rt.Hon. Timothy Owoeye has pledged his support for the NYSC scheme in the State.
The Hon. Speaker made the pledge when he played host to theState Coordinator of NYSC, Mr Adegoke Ayodele Adewale at the State House of Assembly complex in Osogbo on Monday 22nd July, 2019.
Hon. Timothy described the visit of the state coordinator as a laudable one capable of strengthening the relationship between the scheme and the government in the state. The Hon. Speaker further promised that ” whatever I have within my capacity as the Speaker of the 7th Assembly, I will use to assist the NYSC in the State.
” I assure you of my cooperation as a person and also as Speaker of the State House of Assembly ” he further stated.
Meanwhile, the State Coordinator, Mr Adegoke, while speaking, appreciated the Rt. Hon. Speaker for commiserating with the scheme recently on the loss of corps member Ayomikun.
According to him, the gesture of the Speaker and Honourable Members of the House of Assembly in paying a condolence visit to the scheme is a clear signal to the friendly and supportive disposition of the 7th Assembly to the NYSC in the State.
Adegoke added that it therefore behoves the management of the scheme to reciprocate the Honourable House gesture through the courtesy visit. He thereafter, craved for the continued support of the Assembly in tackling the challenges facing the scheme in the State.
