The Osun State Executive Council has approved the appointment of Prince Jokotola Olayinka Tunde as the new Olojudo of Ido Osun, a town in Egbedore Local Government Area of Osun State.

Prince Jokotola succeeds the late Oba Aderemi Adedapo as the traditional ruler of Ido Osun. His selection follows the provisions of the 1956 Registered Declaration, which specifies that the throne belongs to the Adenko ruling house at this turn.

The Council emphasized that the selection process adhered strictly to due process and existing laws. It also encouraged the newly appointed traditional ruler to foster peace and progress in the town and contribute to the development of Osun State.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, who presided over the council meeting, charged the cabinet members to remain committed to delivering democratic dividends to the people of the state.

“The public has delivered a strong positive verdict on our government. But we must all know that the price for hard work is more hard work,” the governor stated.

He continued, “We must not slow down. We have a duty to sustain and even increase the tempo of our delivery. We must continue to innovate and expand our policy ideas. All eyes are on us, and we must not fail thousands and even millions of our admirers out there.”

The meeting was chaired by Governor Adeleke alongside Deputy Governor Prince Kola Adewusi, Secretary to the State Government Hon. Teslim Igbalaye, Chief of Staff Hon. Kazeem Akinleye, and other commissioners and advisers.
