Osun state government has announced the appointment of new monarchs in Ekosin in Odo-Otin Local Government, Ile-Funfun in Ife East Local Government, Oke-Awo in Atakumosa West Local Government and Idado-Ijesa in Atakumosa East Local Government Areas.
This was announced after the Monday’s State Executive Council Meeting through a released made available to newsmen by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Funke Egbemode.
The government announced the appointment of Prince Olagunju Kasali Omotayo as the new Akosin of Ekosin, following a majority vote in his favour at the meeting of the town’s kingmakers.
Prince Solomon Adebusola Elutide was also announced as the new Olu of Ile-Funfun following his emergence as the sole candidate for the vacant stool.
Prince Makinde Ademola of the Abiran Ruling House emerged as the Oloke-Awo of Oke-Awo, while Prince Kehinde Adebowale Taiwo emerged as the Onifiye of Idado-Ijesa following majority votes in his favour at the meeting of the town’s kingmakers.
The government also announced the elevation of Alaago of Kajola Alago Ijesa of Atakumosa East Local Government Area to Part II recognised status of the Chief’s Law, Cap 25 Laws of the State of Osun 2002.
The appointments take immediate effect.
