Deputy Governor, State of Osun, Mr Benedict Alabi, on Wednesday revalidated his membership of the governing party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, as directed by the party leadership.
The Deputy Governor, during the exercise at his ward 6 Unit 7, Iyana-Egba, Ikire, in Irewole Local Government, described the exercise as hitch free and orderly.
He, commended the leadership of the party for organizing the revalidation and registration exercise, adding that it would guarantee accurate data of membership for the purpose of strategic engagement.
Alabi, therefore, called on every member of the party to actively participate in the process and give it necessary attention and wide publicity.
The Deputy Governor, who was flanked by his wife, Oyefunke Alabi, disclosed that only 20 to 25 members will be attended to on daily basis, in line with the NCDC directive on COVID-19 protocols.
He, reiterated his unflinching commitment and loyalty to the party and urged members alike to remain united and vibrant.
Alabi said, “I want to appeal to our members to work harder towards ensuring a smooth and successful registration exercise”.
The Chairman of the Committee in charge of the process in the state, Mr Femi Odufowokan, disclosed that adequate preparation has been made for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
He, however, admonished participants to strictly comply with all protocols of COVID-19 and stay safe.
Odufowokan, alongside the former Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Moses Adeyemo Alake, who is also a member of the Committee added that every name must be in tandem with the identity on individual’s voters card.
