Victor Osimhen’s prolonged transfer saga may be heading towards a conclusion as the player has agreed to a weekly wage of €350,000 offered by English Premier League side, Chelsea, for a move from Napoli.
However, Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli remains in the running, offering even more lucrative terms, keeping the door open for a dramatic twist in the transfer saga.
According to sources close to the deal, Chelsea is willing to pay a transfer fee of around €100 million to Napoli for Osimhen’s services, while Al Ahli is offering a staggering €150 million.
Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli runs until 2025, but the Italian club is willing to let him go for the right price.
The Nigerian striker has been in impressive form for Napoli, scoring 26 goals in 32 appearances last season, and his services are highly sought after by top European clubs.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring Osimhen to Stamford Bridge to strengthen his attacking options, but Al Ahli’s lucrative offer may yet tempt the player to make a surprise move to Saudi Arabia.
