Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has hit out at coach Finidi George, saying he has lost respect for him after Finidi’s comments about Osimhen’s attitude towards the national team.

Osimhen had withdrawn from the Super Eagles’ last two World Cup qualifiers due to injury, but Finidi reportedly used his absence as an example of players’ bad attitude during a meeting with the Sports Minister.

The striker, however, denied this, stating that he had informed Finidi of his injury and even provided evidence of their conversation.

Osimhen feels disrespected and has lost respect for Finidi, who has since resigned as Super Eagles head coach following a disappointing performance in the World Cup qualifiers.

“I’ve lost respect for that man because before I disrespect anybody, I always respect them,” Osimhen said in a live Instagram video.
