Olatosho Oshoffa, son of the founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, Worldwide, Bilewu Oshoffa, has expressed his views on polygamy within the church, stating that it is not prohibited.

As the shepherd of CCC International Headquarters in Ketu, Lagos, Oshoffa defended his late father’s extensive family, arguing that no biblical prophet had only one wife.

“Consider this: In the scripture, Paul was merely offering advice. Show me a prophet in the Bible who had just one wife. Do your research and let me know,” Oshoffa asserted during a press briefing.

The late Oshoffa’s legacy includes 13 wives and 53 children, sparking discussions about his lifestyle while leading one of Nigeria’s Christian congregations.
