Immediate past Osun Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has commiserated with Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, over the demise of his father and Onijagbo of Ijagbo, Oba Salawudeen Olagunju Adeyeye Fagbemi (Obembe II).
In a statement released by his media aide, Ismail Omipidan, Oyetola also condoled friends, family members, associates, sons and daughters of Ijagbo, as well as government of Kwara State, on the loss of the revered monarch.
Oyetola who described Oba Fagbemi as a quintessential administrator and distinguished traditional ruler, said posterity would be kind to him on account of his worthy service to his subjects and his contributions to the growth, peace and development of Ijagbo, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole.
He said: “On behalf of my family, I commiserate with our learned silk, Prince Lateef Fagbemi and the entire Fagbemi family over the demise of His Royal Highness, Oba Salawudeen Olagunju Adeyeye Fagbemi (Obembe II). I also extend my heartfelt condolences to the good people of Ijagbo, friends and associates of the late monarch as well as the government of Kwara State.
“I pray Almighty Allah to forgive and grant the revered monarch Al-Jannah Firdaus, and comfort Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, the rest of the family and the entire Ijagbo town during this moment of grief.”
