One Dead, Another Injured in Car-Truck Collision at Isolo

A fatal accident occurred at Isolo Under Bridge, Lagos State, on Friday, resulting in the death of a female passenger. A Kia car, with registration number KWL-475CZ, collided with a stationary 20-foot containerized truck while traveling at high speed.

The driver of the car sustained injuries, while the female passenger died at the scene due to the impact of the collision. Emergency responders from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and the Nigeria Police were deployed to rescue the trapped individuals and recover the deceased.

The deceased has been handed over to the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit for transportation to the morgue, while the damaged car has been relocated to Olosan Police Station. Efforts are underway to recover the abandoned containerized truck from the scene using heavy-duty equipment.

The identities of the victims have not been disclosed at this time. An investigation into the incident is likely to follow.
