• Abiodun Praises Tinubu, INEC Over Ondo Election Success
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his decisive victory in Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo State.
Abiodun described the triumph as a clear affirmation of the people’s will and a resounding endorsement of Aiyedatiwa’s pro-people policies.
In a statement released on Sunday, Governor Abiodun noted that the outcome of the election underscored the exceptional performance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.
“This victory reflects the unwavering support of the people for our party’s vision and dedication. It is a testament to the APC’s commitment to delivering meaningful progress,” Abiodun remarked.
He attributed the success to the party’s focus on issue-based campaigns, which, he said, resonated deeply with the electorate. “The APC has consistently shown dedication to addressing the needs of the people, and this victory highlights their appreciation for our efforts,” he added.
Governor Abiodun commended all individuals and groups who played a role in ensuring the success of the election. He specifically praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the police, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for organizing a free, fair, and credible election.
He also lauded the APC leadership at the national and state levels for their steadfast commitment, crediting the party’s growing strength to the leadership of the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
Highlighting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s influence, Abiodun said, “Since taking office, President Tinubu has championed a level playing field in our electoral processes, ensuring a fair and transparent environment for all candidates. This victory is a reflection of his exemplary democratic principles.”
Abiodun concluded by emphasizing that Aiyedatiwa’s win not only marks a milestone for the governor but also reinforces the APC’s stronghold in Ondo State. “This victory paves the way for continued progress and development in the state under the APC’s leadership,” he added.
