The Deputy Governor, State of Osun Mr Benedict Alabi on Saturday paid an on spot assessment visit to the Olumirin water falls, Erin-Ijesa in Oriade Local Government area of the state, one of the tourists sites which Osun is endowed with.

He promised that the tourists center will soon receive government intervention and wear a new look.

Mr. Alabi was on his way back home from the ancient town where he went to represent the Governor at the funeral service for Late Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa when he decided to pay an unschedule visit to the tourists site.

The State Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public health Pharmacist Olasiji Olamiju and he was at the tourists site to ascertain the condition of the place where he climbed up the hills and montains around the water falls site.

Mr Alabi during the visit met a number of tourists and assured them of the commitment of Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s administration to develop the Olumirin water falls and several other tourists sites in Osun considering their economic value to the state.

” This Olumirin water falls and all other tourists sites that we have in Osun are very important to us as a government because of their economic importance.

” Very soon, this place and several other tourists sites are going to receive government interventions by putting them in good position for our people’s advantage”, Mr Alabi hinted.

Some of the tourists met on ground, Oluwadara Ayodeji and Oluwasope Adedoyin who were members of the National Youths Service Corps serving in the state who spoke with the Deputy Governor called on the state government to bring infrastructural development to the site by making it easily accessible.

They said doing this would give it a beautiful look and attract more revenue to the covers of the state.
