Ojeshina, Obadina, Kayode-Adedeji, Others to Receive Honorary Doctoral Awards in Ogun State

ABEOKUTA – In a bid to recognize outstanding contributions to society, 19 notable personalities will be conferred with honorary doctoral awards at the forthcoming Leadership Empowerment International Conference (LEIC) holding in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The conference, scheduled for August 15-17, 2024, at the Treasure House of God Global Centre, Agbeloba, Abeokuta, will bring together distinguished individuals from various fields, including Engr. Anthony Ojeshina, Hon. Dele Obadina, Chief Joju Fadairo, and Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji, among others.

Addressing journalists on Tuesday in Abeokuta, Prof. Olusesi Obateye, International Coordinator of Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative, highlighted the significance of the awards, stating that they recognize the awardees’ far-reaching contributions and impact on society.

The awards, ranging from Doctor of Leadership (D.L) and Doctor of Theology, are being conferred by the South-African-based Immanuel Theology Institute International in conjunction with Priesthood Leadership Development Initiative Inc (PLDI) based in Nigeria.

The conference theme, “Responsible And Responsive Leadership”, emphasizes the need for good leaders to address Nigeria’s under-development almost 64 years after Independence. The event aims to promote responsible and responsive leadership in society.

Also to receive Doctoral honours are Commandant of the State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement (TRACE), Prince ‘Seni Ogunyemi, notable politician and elderstatesman, Hon. Dapo Adeyemi, top businessman, Engr. Oluwatoyin Jokosenumi, ASUSS top shot, Mr Felix Agbesanwa, renowned Adire Promoter, Mrs Lizzy Adeboyejo, and Asst Most Superior Evangelist Ebenezer Osofa of the Celestial Church of Christ(CCC).

Two of the awardees, Chief Michael Ogunseye and Bukola Jaiyeola, who are based in London, will receive their awards at the LEIC United Kingdom Conference slated for August 29-31, 2024.

The conference aims to address the dearth of good leaders in Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of responsible and responsive leadership in society.
