Ogun Trade Ministry Reaffirms Readiness To Boost Public-Private Partnership

The newly inaugurated leadership of Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) led by its President, Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Honorable Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe in her Oke Mosan Office, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

In his opening remarks, Alhaji Olaleye said the visit would afford the Chamber to further strengthen the muscles of partnerships between the Chamber of Commerce, Ogun State Government and Ministry of Trade and Investment.

He equally appreciated the leadership of the Ministry for always ready to champion OGUNCCIMA’s developmental ideas to further boost the economic growth of the gateway State.

Alhaji Olaleye assured the Ogun State government of the readiness of OGUNCCIMA new leadership to promote the cultivation of Ofada Rice among other projects to scale up local rice market as the Federal Government has made importation of foreign rice impossible into the country.

On her part, the Hon. Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe commended the OGUNCCIMA leadership for their giant strides towards ensuring that the agenda of the present adminstration under the able leadership of His Excellency, Prince (Dr) Dapo Abiodun is achievable.

Mrs. Longe therefore used the medium to urged residents of Ogun State whose keen interest is in Agriculture and its value chains to embrace the profit making venture to grow the economy of the state.

She reiterated the assurance of the Ogun State government and Trade and Investment Ministry to put into judicious use the trade fair complex as a whole lot has been achieved through the channel in time past.

She noted that as soon as the battle against Covid-19 is won, new Initiatives would be channeled towards revitalization of the Trade Fair center.

She thereafter called for a better collaboration as the Ministry is ready to work with OGUNCCIMA to further build the economy of Ogun State.

Some of the important dignitaries present at the visit include; Iyalode Alaba Lawson (Immediate Past NACCIMA President), Mrs. Jumoke Akinlolu Okoya, Lion Niyi Osiyemi, Mr. Timothy Shorunke, Prince Bayo Kujenyo, Engr. Mike Akingbade, Engr Oluyomi Olutoye, Alhaji Bidemi Mulero, Mrs. Sola Arobieke (SSA to the Governor on Trade and Investment), Chief Afuape among others.
