Ogun State High Court strikes out certificate forgery aimed at Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Ogunsola

Reminiscence to the act displayed by a political group in Obafemi-Owode Local Government aimed at OOLG All Progressives Congress Chairmanship Candidate, Hon Ogunsola ‘Lanrewaju Adesina that he put uncertified result in the process of his candidacy has been striked out in Ogun State High Court today presided over by Justice A.A Adeyemi.

Justice Adeyemi according to him, stated that the reflections of the documents presented by the claimant is unsatisfied.

Expressed further in the proccession that the claimant did not act in time subject to the provision of the Nigeria Constitution. Clearly said that the claimant supposed to have taken a legal action since the outset of the happenings in May 24, 2021 which is in the consonance with the Nigeria 1999 Constitution.

Succinctly stated that the legal action must have been filed before the lapse of 14 days in which they knew the occurrence but filed the legal action against the Chairmanship Candidate, Ogunsola in June 28, 2021 in the process of putting forgery result for the documentation of his candidature.

In the insight, Justice Adeyemi pronounced that for such a static action on the side of the claimant who refused to act in time, he, however, striked out the matter established against Hon. Ogunsola because the issue raised did not have any substance of merit.

“According to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Section 2, 85 Sub Section 9 provides that pre-election matters shall be filed within 14 days from the day of the occurrence of the event”, Justice Adeyemi stated.
