The Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Board (PAGADEB) has ordered immediate vacation of all organizations collecting Revenues on trucks and other heavy vehicle(s) on its behalf across all Parks and garages in the state.
The organization made this known according to a press statement issued by Hon. Wale Abeeb Ajayi, Board Chairman (Parks & Garages Development Agency) and obtained by our correspondent in Abeokuta.
The statement which also copied The Chairman, House Committee on Transport, Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Chairman of the House Committee states following a resolution reached during the Board Meeting of the Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Agency held on Thursday 11 February 2021.
The Board Meeting resolutions read in parts:
1) That the General Manager should not enter into any agreement Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). contracts negotiation(s) or directions with any Ministry Agency. Companies,
Firmis), Agents). person(s) and or entities whatsoever without the written consent and approval of the Board.
2) The Board shall immediately embark on visitation to all parks and garages in Ogun State to ensure strict compliance with Covid-19 Protocols as directed by His Excellency. Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun MER. Governor of Ogun State.
3) That all recent contracts, megotiation’s understanding(s) agreements, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU’s) signed or executed by Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Agency (PAGADA) with any Agents Agencies. Entities, Company(s). Person(s) and or Organizations on the collection of Revenues on trucks and other heavy vehicle(s) operating in any parks, garages, or calls in Ogun State is hereby revoked.
4) That the Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Agency (PAGADA)
Law has clearly taken care of the interest of all Local Governments in Ogun
State in its operations through adequate representation of the Local Government Councils in Board of the Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Agency (PAGADA).
5) That the Board should urgently hold meetings and interactions with the
security agencies on the security situation in all the parks and garages in Ogun State
6) The Board observed that the General Manager who is also the Secretary of
the Board has not been attending Board Meetings nor effecting Board,resolutions and such attitudes should henceforth be stopped while the General Manager is enjoined to live up to his responsibilities in the Agency.
7) The Agency is an autonomous body by the Law establishing the Agency and
the Agency and its Buard shall be guided in its functions, responsibilities
and powers as provided for in the law.
