The acting Chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW),  Alhaji Akeem Bodunrin a.k.a. Iyeru, has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun, over his victory at the election tribunal.

Affirming the victory on Saturday, the governorship election petitions tribunal sitting in Abeokuta struck out all the petition filed by Hon. Abiodun Akinlade of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).

The APM candidate had headed to the Ogun State Election Petitions Tribunal where he challenged the victory of Abiodun on the grounds that the election was marred by electoral malpractices.

Bodunrin, in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, described the judgment as victory for the rule of law, urging the people of the state to support the Abiodun-led adminstration.

“This is victory for democracy. This victory is a pointer to the fact that we still have credible judges in the temple of justice.

“This is the time to join hands with Governor Abiodun to move the state forward. His achievements in 100 days in office speaks volume of what to expect from him. Prince Dapo knows his onions, he will bring his business acumen to bear in the running of the state.

“I congratulate our governor, the APC and the good people of Ogun state,” he said.
