Ogun NUJ Congratulates Abiodun, Others on National Honour

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council has congratulated the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his conferment of the National Award of the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).

The Union also felicitates other Ogun State indigenes who were equally confered with different National honour as published in the national dailies.

The Chairman of the Council, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju and the Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun, in a statement, said that the awards could not have come at a better time, adding that it was well deserved.

Those confered with the awards includes, Former Ogun state Governor, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, who bagged the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic, (CFR), Prof. Folasade Tolulope Ogunsola ( Nee Mabogunje), the Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, was confered with the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

Others include, Bayo Onanuga, the Managing Director News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) conferred with OON; Adebisi Abidemi Adebutu, the third son of the billionaire businessman, Chief Kensington Adebukola Adebutu,a serial entrepreneur like his father, also honored.

Justice Titi Mabogunje, a retired Jurist and wife to Late Prof. Akinlawon Mabogunje, a foremost African Geographer and Development Expert, confered with Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), Tolu Ogunlesi, the former Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media got the Member of the order of the Niger (MON).

Also, Senator Lekan Mustpaha, who is representing Ogun East at the National Assembly and Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite,immediate past Minister of Mines and Steel and former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure in Ogun State.

Foremost Sports enthusiast, and Chairman of Bet9ja, Hon. Kunle Soname, also received an honour while, Dr. Yemi Ogunbiyi, former Managing Director of Daily Times was also honored.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, wishes all the illustrious sons and daughters of the state the best in their endeavours just as it admonished them not to relent in their impactful living.
