Due to the global spread of the Corona virus and the recent ban of all high-density gatherings in Ogun State and the NUJ national Headquarters directive to all the State councils to suspend all activities that could bring people together, the Caretaker Committee of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Ogun state having consulted widely and reviewed the activities at the Secretariat wishes to inform the general public that the centre housing both the Union and private businesses be closed down pending the period when the ban on public gatherings will be relaxed from 7 a.m Thursday, 26th of March 2020.

The reasons for the closure include compliance with government and our Union National secretariat’s directives and the need for precautionary measures to safeguard the health of our members and the general public.
Operators of businesses within the premises are hereby through this notice reminded of the need to comply with the lockdown order in the interest of public health.
All the twelve (12) Chapels leadership are advised to close their chapel offices for public transactions as part of the measures to safeguard the health of their members.
We also urged Journalists in Ogun state to adhere strictly with preventive measures and follow experts advice on COVID 19 prevention.
