Following his outstanding humanitarian contribution to the local government, a Federal House of Representatives aspirant for Ijebu North, Ijebu East, Ogun Waterside, Hon. Oluyemi Adesegun a.k.a Adeland, has been honoured with two awards.
The two awards, Award of Excellence and Commendation Award was presented to the popular grassroots politician by the APC Chairman of Ijebu North local government, Mosunmola Oladipupo and Youth leader, Comrade Ramota Rabiu respectively.
While speaking, the organizers said Adesegun was honoured for his Meritorious works to the council.
Responding, Adesegun said he is very fortunate to win the awards, stressing that he would continue to do his best for the council and the party.
He said he was completely unaware that the organizers are considering him for the accolades, saying the honours took him by surprise.
Adeland, however, pledged to continue to support the youths with more empowerment and capacity building programmes.
The APC Chieftain applauded Governor Dapo Abiodun for infrastructural developments of Ijebu North, saying “he has done great for us in Ijebu North”.
He implored the youths of Ijebu North to reciprocate the kind gesture of the Governor by trooping out in large numbers to vote for him.
Adeland also thanked the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Engr. Adegbesan, the APC candidate for House of Representatives in Ijebu North, Ijebu East, Ogun Waterside federal constituency for his fatherly role towards the success of the youths walk and to all leaders who were in attendance.
He also extended his appreciation to all youth Executives led by Ijebu North Youth Leader and his Deputy Youth Leader Comrade Olalekan Arowolo for bestowing on him the awards.
