Ogun State Government is set to enhance the business value chain through emerging technology, to further expose Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to global marketing.

This was revealed at the opening of a 3-Day 2022 Tech solution convergence organised by the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) with the theme, “Building Sustainable Linkage”, at OgunTech Hub, Kobape, Abeokuta.

In his opening remark, the Special Adviser, ICT, Mr. Dayo Abiodun said the meeting, which had over 80 participants in attendance was to brainstorm on various challenges facing MSMEs and build technology solutions that would fully launch them into the digital economy to maximise profits.

Represented by the Director, Standard Regulations, Planning and Research, Mrs. Olatundun Adekunte, the Special Adviser stated that the deliberation would enable Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government to further achieve its agenda in positioning Ogun State among the leading players in the digital economy.

He admonished the participants to come up with useful suggestions during practical sessions, assuring that BIT would develop unique Tech solutions that would connect them to digital marketing and create a wide link of interactions with their target buyers or users.

Speaking on behalf of other participants, Dr. Idris Allinson, from Yewa Chamber of Commerce lauded the initiative, saying they had been exposed to more benefits of emerging technology which would launch them into global marketing.
