The Ogun State Government has declared that it has not installed any monarch in Ado-Odo, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, since the demise of the town’s monarch, Late Oba AbdulLateef Akanni.
In a release signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun, said it has come to the notice of the State Government that one Mufutau Agbogunlori Dosumu wanted to celebrate three months on the throne and confer chieftaincy titles on some members of the public, which is a flagrant violation of Obas and Chiefs Law of Ogun State, 2021.
The release stated that the unwholesome development could lead to the breakdown of law and order in Ado-Odo and its environs.
It, therefore, warned people of the town, and indeed the general public not to associate or involve themselves in the said ceremony, as anyone found associating with the impostor on the provocative ceremony shall be dealt with in accordance with the Law of the Ogun State.
