OGUN FA WANT NEWLY INAUGURATED FOOTBALL COUNCILS TO PUT FOOTBALL INTEREST ABOVE ALL

The Ogun State Football Association has charged the interim Executives and Members of Abeokuta North, South and Ewekoro Local Government Football Council to be deligient and serve with the interest of football in their dealings.

In separate congratulatory messages sent to the Football Councils by the Chairman Ogun State Football Association, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi, He congratulated all the excos, as well as members and urged them to deliver beyond expectations, He also stressed the need to develop the round leather game in their respective local governments.

Alhaji Majekodunmi who is also an executive board member of the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that the FA congress held in 2017 agreed to inaugurate on an interim basis executives and members into the three local football councils due to the crisis that has rocked them in the past.

Their appointment was however ratified at the 2018 Congress, where it was agreed that the interim executives will act for twelve months, during which they are expected to conduct a proper election.

Mr Tayo Tejuoso will Chair Abeokuta North Football Council, with Mrs B. Akindele and Alhaji Hameed Adebayo as first and second vice chairman in that order,M r.Salimon Akinbo,Chief Mutiu Soyomi, Mr Abimbola Ademola and Mr FA Yusuf are members, while Mr Biodun Alabi will act as Secretary.

Former General Manager of Gateway United Prince Tunji Onatolu will act as chairman Abeokuta South, Mr Hakeem Akintunde and Mr Biodun Odejimi are first and second Vice chairmen, Mr Femi Odusina, Mr Bamgboye Musibau and madam Kudirat Odebiyi are members while Mr Felix Somide is the Secretary.

Coach Ogunleye Kolawole is the acting Chairman, Ewekoro football council, Hon. Tunde Solabi and Mr. Morufdeen Oyebola will act as first and second Vice Chairmen, Mr Joseph Olanrewaju, Mr Kola Fabiyi, Mr Fatai Shorunke and Mr. Bayo Adegboyega, are Members while Mr Kingsley Iloka will act as Secretary.
