Ogun Community Gets Traditional Leader, Tasks Govt On Equal Distribution Of Social Amenities

The Baale of Kusumodi Community in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, High Chief Taiwo Alli Balogun has called on Ogun State Government led by Prince Dapo Abiodun to ensure provision of basic amenities to the ancient Community.

The traditional leader noted that only visible and available development could ensure enviable progress and growth of any community.

High Chief Taiwo Alli Balogun made this known over the weekend during his installation and decoration as the new Baale of Kusumodi Community, an ancient town which has been in extinction for the last 60 years.

Meanwhile, sons and daughters of the town also stormed the community to witness the historical event to commemorate the resuscitation of Kusumodi community which for so long have been neglected without any sign of development and settlement.

Performing the traditional rites and installation, the representative of Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egba Land, Oba Adedotun Àrèmú Gbadebo in person of High Chief Anthony Olayiwola Oliyide, Oluwo of Igbore Land, congratulated members of the town for the unwavering efforts geared towards ensuring that the town sees the light of the day.

Chief Oliyide noted that the new-face of the town would herald all – round development as well as to bring more dividends of democracy to the town.

He equally enjoined the new traditional leader to be more receptive and responsive to the yearnings and aspirations of his people, adding that by his appointment, he’s expected to aid continuous support, improvement and ensure good tidings into the town.

While commending the efforts of Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egba Land in his efforts to restore the glory of the town, Chief Oliyide said Kabiyesi had been a rallying point for the entire traditional rulers and leaders in the region, which had made the Egba Traditional Council to witness tremendous peace and remarkable achievements.

In his acceptance speech, the newly installed Baale, High Chief Taiwo Alli Balogun appreciated all and sundry for the support received and urged indigenes of the town to return home to get the town developed to it’s original state.

Baale Balogun also assured the community that he would harness and put into use all experiences gotten as the Luwoye of Egba Land to ensure development and enhance economic benefits among his people.

He however seek for government intervention in providing social amenities such as motorable roads, affordable health facility, electricity, school, pipe borne water among other things capable of bringing lasting development and progress to any community.

The epoch making event also witnessed the installation of new Kusumodi Chiefs which includes; Chief Segun Oladipupo (Afobaje of Kusumodi), Chief mrs Egbetoke (Iyalode of Kusumodi), Chief Abdul Lateef Rabiu Sunday (Okanlomo of Kusumodi), Chief Sunday (Olori Odo of Kusumodi) and Chief Hammed Akanbi Adetunji (Majeobaje of Kusumodi).
