Ogun Commissions multi door court

Establishment of multi door courts has been identified as a means of providing Low cost of Dispute resolution, which ensures flexibility in the mode of resolution of disputes particularly for the litigants.

The Chief Judge of Ogun State ,Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu gave the assurance while delivering her speech at the Commissioning of the Multi door Court house, at Ota High court Ota.

Justice Dipeolu who explained that the regular courts have to a large extent been unable to dispense speedy justice with litigants having to face long adjournments caused mainly by the failures inherent in the system which are generally man made,hence a need for a creation of an alternative dispute resolution mechanism which gave birth to early neutral evaluation,negotiation,conciliation,mediation and arbitration.

The Chief Judge also disclosed that since the creation of the First Multi door Court house at Isabo in Abeokuta, eight hundred and ninety two (892) cases have been filed in the court houses as at the end of January 2021.

” I must say that gradually ,litigants are becoming more aware of the benefits of filing their cases in the Multi door Court houses.” She said

The Chief Judge however appreciate Chief Oluseun Akinbiyi and his wife Hon. Justice Sonia Akinbiyi for donating the Commissioned Ota Multi door Court house which according to her will further boost speedy dispensation of Justice which is one of the Seven point repositioning agenda of this administration.

In his Goodwill message the Chairman of the Ogun Multi door Court governing Council ,Rtd Hon. Justice Solomon Olugbemi urged people of Ogun West Senatorial district to embrace the new multidoor Court whole heartedly.

In her remarks, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State ,Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Salako Oyedele who officially commissioned the multi-door Court on behalf of the Ogun state government reiterated that the bill signed by the Governor of the State,Prince DAPO Abiodun, establishing the Ogun Multi door Court House into law on August 27,2020,will continue to improve operations of the Court houses across the State.

The deputy Governor assured residents of the commitment of the Prince DAPO Abiodun administration towards ensuring quality judicial system in t6he State.

“I pledge to contribute my own quota to support so that people in the community can be of benefit to the new Multi door Court house.

The Commissioning was attended to by Honourable Judges,Magistrates, Members of judicial Service Commission,Royal fathers, members of bar and bench in Ota and Ilaro.
