The empowerment scheme, another one in the annual edition was aimed at assisting the beneficiary to support her business.

The presentation of the cash gift and clothes to three other beneficiaries was done as part of activities to commemorate the birthday anniversary of Sons and Daughters of Grace — May Celebrants.

Speaking at the event, the Secretary of Sons and Daughters of Grace and a seasoned broadcast, Mr. Adeyinka Adegbite popularly known as Omo Baba Tisa, said the initiative is one of the ways the group is showing its commitment to improving the status of women and youths in the church.

He said: “Apart from our various empowerment schemes and various donations towards the house of God, we are further strengthening their capacity with cash gift. If you empower a woman, you have empowered a nation.

“The little fund given to her should be added to his existing business to boost it. It is just a means of encouragement, he added.

Expressing her appreciation, the beneficiary, Mrs. Mustapha better known as Iya Baraka expressed gratitude to the group for their benevolence and kind gesture towards her.

The event also witnessed prayers, fanfare as well as cutting of cake witnessed by Bishop Jeremiah Okunlola and other members of the church congregation.
