Ogun State House of Assembly today screened a former General Manager of the State Printing Corporation, Mrs. Oyinkansola Cole, a veteran journalist, with a charge on her to bring her wealth of experience in public and private practice to bear on her new position, if confirmed by the Assembly and eventually appointed by the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, gave the charge while leading other lawmakers to screen Mrs. Cole, who name was recently forwarded to the Assembly via a correspondence by the Governor.
According to the Speaker, the Governor had requested for the approval of the nominee as a member of the Judicial Service Commission, following the resignation of a former member of the Commission.
Rt. Hon. Oluomo acknowledged that the nominee was a thorough bred professional, whose wealth of experience would be a plause to the Commission if confirmed and eventually appointed by the Governor.
In her response, Mrs. Cole assured that her experience in public and private sector had equipped her to face challenges with renewed vigour and determination to always succeed.
She added that having held relevant political positions with track record of achievements in the past, she would surely bring her experience to bear on the new assignment if confirmed.
Mrs. Cole, born on February 23, 1956 is a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Lagos, a broadcast journalist and public relations practitioner and hails from Odogbolu Local Government Area of the State.
