Ogun State House of Assembly has commended a member of the 8th National Assembly from the State, Senator Lanre Tejuoso for doing the State proud at initiating a bill on universal health coverage meant to increase access to quality healthcare services by Nigerians.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo gave the commendation during the Assembly’s plenary while responding to the submissions of the Chairman, House Committee on Health ,Hon Adegoke Adeyanju on the need for the State to explore the opportunity created by the laudable health care initiative.

Oluomo acknowledged the efforts of Senator Tejuoso especially, on issues relating to effective and efficient health programmes for Nigeria during the last National Assembly, assuring that the State would take advantage of the health programme for the benefit of the people.

Earlier while speaking under personal explanation, Hon Adeyanju canvassed for the State participation on the programmes to further bring health care delivery to the door step of all the people of the State ; while he also lauded the singular role of Tejuoso at initiating such a worthwhile health initiative.

On her parts, the lawmaker representing Yewa South State Constituency, Hon. Bolanle Ajayi submitted a petition on behalf of one of her constituents, Mr. Felix Fagbohun, against one Olusegun David Falana on the issue of land encroachment at Arafa Farm at Gbokoto, Ilaro-Oja-Odan road.
