“The late former deputy speaker will be remembered for his legislative prowess,” he said.

The speaker explained that Mr Oshin lived a fulfilled life, describing him as a leader of repute and that the state had lost a real gem in his death.

Other lawmakers who spoke during the special plenary for the late former lawmaker described him as a fearless, dogged and committed human being who served the state meritoriously.

They added that the current set of state legislators had lost a leader, a political tactician and one of the greatest the hallowed chamber ever produced.

Fasiu Bakene, a member of the fifth and sixth assemblies, stated that the late Mr Oshin was a committed legislator during his time and a man of tradition.

“He believed in the House of Assembly doing things rightly and always putting the government of the day on its toes,” he said.

The wife of the deceased, Bolanle Oshin, appreciated the House of Assembly for honouring her late husband.

The late former deputy speaker represented Ijebu North 1 constituency during the fifth and sixth legislatures.
