OGUN ASSEMBLY COMMENCES MONITORING OF 2019 BUDGET PERFORMANCE ON MONDAY

Ogun State House of Assembly will on Monday, August 26, 2019 commence the monitoring of this year’s Budget Performance on the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the State to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2019 Appropriation Law. 

A release signed by the Ag. Clerk of the House, Deji Adeyemo indicated that the annual exercise which is part of the oversight functions of the Legislative Arm of Government at promoting good governance, is in consonance with Sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended)

The annual budget performance assessment tour, accordingly to the release would commence at 10:00am each day and end on October 10, 2019.

The release enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils and LCDAs to make available relevant documents and information to the House Committee to ensure the success of the exercise.
