Ogun assembly commences appraisal of 2023 budget Tomorrow

Ogun State House of Assembly will on Monday, 23rd October, 2023 begin the budget performance appraisal for the 3rd quarter of the various Ministries, byDepartments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government and Local Government Councils in the State to ascertain their level of compliance with the 2023 Appropriation Law.

A release by the Clerk of the Assembly/ Head of Legislative Service, Mr. ‘Deji Adeyemo, indicated that the exercise which is part of the oversight functions of the legislative arm of Government in promoting accountability, transparency with regards to value for government resources is in consonance with sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

According to the release, the budget performance assessment, would commence at 10:00am daily and end on Monday, 30th of October, 2023.

The release enjoined all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of Government as well as Local Government Councils to make available relevant documents and information to ensure the success of the exercise.
