Ogun 2023 Gateway Trade Fair Begins February 3

Ogun State Chambers of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture, (OGUNCCIMA) has said it is ready to host the 2023 Gateway International Trade Fair, which is to host numerous companies.

The President, OGUNCCIMA, Engr. Mike Akingbade, made this known on Thursday during a press conference in Abeokuta heralding this year’s edition with the theme: Energy and Agriculture as Panacea to Economic and Sustainable Multi – Sectoral Growth: Ogun Pathway To Economic Prosperity”.

He added that the trade fair would hold between 3rd to 13th February, 2023 at the MKO Abiola Trade Fair Complex, in Abeokuta, the state capital, adding that the Chamber is working with the Ogun State Government’s ‘Building our Future Together’ philosophy for the economic growth of the state through increased productivity in agriculture and development of its value chain.

He said, “It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the Press Conference to usher in the 12th Gateway International Trade Fair 2023 being organized by Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) in conjunction with Ogun State Government”.

“Let me appreciate the Ogun State Government under the able leadership of our dear governor, His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, MFR for the unwavering support the government has been giving to OGUNCCIMA to organize successful trade fair since inception of the current administration in the State”.

“The theme of this trade fair which holds from 3rd to 13th February 2023 at the M.K.O Abiola Trade Fair Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta is “Energy and Agriculture as Panacea to Economic and Sustainable Multi-Sectoral Growth: Ogun Pathway to Economic Prosperity”.

“The Gateway International Trade Fair 2023 is an annual event where different corporate bodies at small, medium and large-scale levels as well as relevant government institutions converge to showcase their products and services, and promote new businesses and technological innovations. The event is also meant to create business awareness and examine global market trends”.

“This year’s edition of Gateway International Trade Fair is intended to serve as a melting pot for cross pollination of business ideas amongst trade and industry practitioners, business idealists and economic policy makers”.

“it may interest you to know that since the inception of the Gateway International Trade Fair, it has acted as a reliable international trade avenue and guaranteed market for over one million consumers”.

“let me assure you that this year’s event will be more elaborate than the previous ones. I therefore wish to use this opportunity to call on all stakeholders, participating corporate organizations, government institutions, exhibitors, prospective customers and patrons to lend their support toward ensuring the success of the 12th Gateway International Trade Fair”, he added.

Also speaking at the briefing, the state Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Trade and Investment, Kikelomo Longe, reassured exhibitors of the state’s commitment to hold the best ever gateway international trade fair in collaboration with OGUNCCIMA, noting that the Chambers had the support of the government.

Longe represented by the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry, Dr. Olu – Ola Aikulola assured that the fair would be improved on through an increase in the quality of exhibitors and participants.

She added that the state’s government was focused on creating an enabling environment for investors.
