ODUACCIMA Elects New President, As Olaleye Emerges 2nd Deputy President

It was a moment of joy on Tuesday as Odu’a Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture at its 2020 AGM elected new President and Executive members to run the affairs of the regional Chamber of Commerce for the next two years.

The epoch making event witnessed the election of Prince Kayode Adeyemi from Osun State Chamber of Commerce as President, Dr. Oluwatoyin Ojelabi from Oyo State Chamber of Commerce also emerged as the 1st Deputy President.

Meanwhile, Alhaji Wasiu Olaleye from Ogun State Chamber of Commerce was elected as the 2nd Deputy President, while Mrs. Dupe Olakunle (Ondo) emerged as the Treasurer.

Others elected officials include; Alhaji Olufemi Hassan, Deputy Treasurer (Ekiti), Auditor Lagos Chamber of Commerce, Chief Kola Akosile (Immediate Past President) as Ex-officio (Ekiti).

While delivering his speech, the outgone President, Chief Kola Akosile appreciated the support he received from all Chamber members during his tenure and admonished the new President, Prince Kayode Adeyemi to raise the bar of the standards in moving the southwest business community forward.

The new President, Prince Kayode Adeyemi while delivering his acceptance speech appreciated all past leaders of the Chamber in the Southwest region for keeping the organised Private sector stronger.

He promised to work with other stakeholders in the region to transform the moribund industries in southwest.

On his part, the Director General of Odu’a Chambers, Mr David Awotipe expressed the desire of the Secretariat to assist the new executives in delivering their mandate for the two years administration.

Present at the AGM include; Otunba Dele Oye, NACCIMA 2nd Deputy President, Asiwaju Olaitan Alabi NACCIMA life Vice President, Senator Remi Okunriboye, NACCIMA Vice President, Alh. Bayo Jimoh, NACCIMA Vice President, Pa Eddie Oguntonade, ODUACCIMA Life Vice President, State Presidents of Chambers of Commerce and Council members among others.
