A foremost politician cum lawyer, Barr. Seun Odofin has congratulated a frontline traditional ruler in Osun State, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr) Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe, the Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesa on his emergence as the Chairman, Ìjesa North Traditional Council.
Oba Ogungbangbe succeeded HRM Oba (Dr) Adeleke Agunbiade Oke, the Ajalaye of Ipetu-Ijesa, who stepped aside as the President of the council after serving his two-year term.
The APC stalwart and one time Special Adviser to Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Administration and Legislative Compliance said Iloko-Ijesa is blessed to have a dynamic and selfless leader like Ajagbusi-Ekun VI.
The All Progressive Congress candidate for Ìjesa North Federal Constituency in the 2023 general election also congratulated Ijesa North Traditional Council over the choice of Owaloko as he commended the forum for exhibiting the spirit of unity and understanding.
Speaking on the development, Odofin described the monarch as a friend of the masses who does not discriminate but who maintain an open door to accommodate all regardless of colour, race or faith.
The eminent philanthropist prayed for a successful tenure for the new chairman as he charged him to continue playing his fatherly roles to everyone.
