After completing his second tenure as Governor of Edo State on Monday, Godwin Obaseki has embarked on a vacation to rest and undergo extended medical checks.
This information was conveyed in a statement issued by Crusoe Osagie, the media adviser to Obaseki.
The statement expressed Obaseki’s gratitude to God and the people of Edo State for the opportunity to serve. “Once again, [Obaseki] expressed his appreciation to God Almighty and the people of Edo State and Nigeria for the opportunity to serve,” the statement read.
Obaseki also encouraged the people of Edo, both within the state and in the diaspora, to remain hopeful and continue praying for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the state and Nigeria as a whole.
“I urge all Edo people, both at home and in the Diaspora, to continue to be hopeful and pray for the peace, progress, and prosperity of our State and Nigeria,” the statement added.
