Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade of Akinale, Passes On at 79

The Owu Kingdom in Abeokuta, Ogun State, is in mourning as its revered traditional ruler, Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, the Towulade of Akinale, has passed away at the age of 79.

His death occurred on Wednesday after a brief illness, surrounded by his family.

Oba Ogunleye was a distinguished journalist, lawyer, and mediator, known for his wisdom and conflict resolution expertise.

He leaves behind a legacy of selfless service to humanity, and his impact will be deeply felt in the journalism, legal, and royal communities.

The family has announced that a celebration of life ceremony will be held soon to honor his remarkable achievements.

Oba Ogunleye is survived by his wife, Olori Olanike Ogunleye, children, and grandchildren, including Mr. Bamidele Ogunleye of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), Abeokuta.

May his soul rest in peace.
