NYSC, FRSC BELONGS TO THE SAME FAMILY – SECTOR COMMANDER

The Sector Commander of Osun State Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Oke Peters has advised that corps members in the Federal Road Safety Club should engage in Significant projects that will make their presence felt in their host communities .

Mr Oke peters gave the advice during a courtesy visit paid by the Osun State coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke in his conference room at the Federal Road Safety Command in Osogbo recently.

The NYSC State Coordinator who visited with his management team stated that the purpose of his visit was to appreciate the command for their support for the scheme in the State and also for their presence and representation at all NYSC programmes in the State. Adegoke added that his visit was also aimed at cementing the age long relationship between NYSC and the FRSC.

Mr Oke Peters who appreciated the courtesy visit noted that corps members in the Federal Road Safety Club can engage in notable community development services such as , filling up of Pot holes in roads, traffic regulation on major roads in the State especially during festive periods, the education of students on traffic rules as well as other significant community services that will leave durable legacies in the host communities.

He therefore appealed to the state coordinator,Mr Ayodele Adegoke to enjoin corps members to readily participate in such development services, adding that whoever excels will be given due commendation by the Command. Mr Peters further gave his assurance in the area of sponsorship to carry out such projects and as well assured of the security of lives of corps members by not exposing them to dangerous traffic locations in the State.

He concluded by saying that the NYSC and FRSC are of the same family and described the relationship between both agencies as a very cordial one that would last long.
