Normalcy returns to Ogun Assembly as members meet at plenary

Normalcy today returned to the Ogun State House of Assembly as members attend plenary session, free of rancour. At the plenary members were availed with the response of Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, over the allegation levelled against him by the 18 lawmakers.

The House led by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, deliberated on the Speaker’s response and advised that the Speaker should step aside pending the outcome of the report of the Adhoc Committee set up by the House at the plenary to look into the matter.

The membership of the Committee are: Hon. Musefiu Lamidi, representing Ado Odo/ Ota 2 State Constituency to serve as Chairman, Oluseun Adesanya as Vice Chairman, just as Honourables Babatunde Tella, Damilola Soneye, Lukman Adeleye, Fola Salami and Olusegun Odunuga would serve as members, while the Director of Legislative Service, Mr. Temtope Hokon would serve as Secretary.
