The Olu of Orile-Igbore, Oba Adeogun Ogunbona Ogunjobi, has issued a stance warning to those who always look at a way to use their personal interest in disrupting the peace of the society to desist from it because the hand of carma will get them sooner or later.

Oba Ogunjobi made this known when reacting to a news reported by an online media platform, News Flagship, that the Oluwo of Igbore, Chief Anthony Oliyide, is higher in rank than him and that the Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo issued him a warning “to stop arrogating to himself powers which by the law and convention of Egba Traditional Council, he doesn’t posses”.

In a statement made available by Chief Moruf Adegboyega, the Araba Baaroyin of Orile-Igbore, he said, “there’s no where in Yorubaland that an Ogboni chief is greater than the monarch of a kingdom. Oluwo can only be the leader of a kingdom where there is no monarch but wherever they have a king, the head of the Ogboni will be answerable to the king. That’s the tradition in Yorubaland”.

The Olu of Orile-Igbore frowned at the fake news published by the online news platform and urge the public to disregard the insinuation that his people are calling for his removal from the throne. He said there is unity in Orile-Igbore under his kingship. He however cautioned those planning to cause confusion because of personal interest to desist from such act.
