NMA Commends EFCC on Fight Against Graft

The Kano branch of the Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, has commended the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on its relentless fight against economic and financial crime.

This commendation was given in Kano on Thursday, September 15, 2022 by the newly-elected chairman of the Association, Dr Abdullahi Kabir Suleiman, while on a Courtesy Visit to the Kano Zonal Command of the Commission. According to him, the EFCC has acquitted itself well in the pursuit of its mandate and deserved being appreciated.

‘’We like to use this opportunity to appreciate the good work of the EFCC in the fight against corruption, economic and financial crimes in general, especially in the Kano Command. We also like to appreciate the support and assistance the Command is giving to our members and the people of Kano in general”, he said.

He sued for the cooperation of the Commission in running the Association, stressing that the EFCC’s support was significant. “We are here to solicit for the support and cooperation of the Commission throughout our tenure and we believe with your support and cooperation, we will be able to surpass the achievement of the previous administration”, he said.

Responding, Kano Zonal Commander, Assistant Commander of the EFCC. ACE Farouq Dogondaji, appreciated the leadership of the Association for recognizing and honouring the Commission with a courtesy visit. He further assured them that the Commission’s doors are open at all times. He called on the leadership of the Association to key into the anti-corruption works of the Commission by exposing every act of corruption, reminding them that the fight against corruption is for all Nigerians.
