Nigerians Need To Read More Of intellectual Materials – Chris Omotosho

Nigerians has been enjoined to embrace literary works for intellectual development in order to have a more developed society.

A theatre arts Lecturer at the Federal College of Education FCE Osiele, Dr Chris Omotosho made this submission in an interview with the News Correspondent of Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation in Abeokuta, Nurat Yusuf on the occasion of the 2019 “World Poetry Day”.

Dr Omotosho pointed out that a learned society will experience accelerated development, Noting that non-recognition of the works of poets and high cost of production of materials are hindering the turn-out of literary works.

The theatre arts lecturer while explaining that poetry appeals to the relevance of poems to the lives of individuals and the society at large.

Dr Omotosho equally advised upcoming poets not to be discouraged as the society will celebrate them one day.
