Nigeria At 64: Akpabio, Kalu, Obasanjo, Others Attend Thanksgiving Service In Abuja

On Sunday, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, participated in a thanksgiving service at the National Christian Centre in Abuja to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary.

The service drew notable national figures, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, the President of the 10th Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and other distinguished Nigerians, who gathered to celebrate and reflect on the nation’s journey.

The event was filled with hymns, prayers, and inspirational messages from various religious leaders, emphasizing the importance of unity and faith in nation-building. Deputy Speaker Kalu represented the legislators from the Green Chambers and delivered the second Bible reading from Philippians 3:12-16.

This Independence Day Service, also known as the Interdenominational Church Service, is an annual gathering that unites Nigerians of all faiths in prayer for the nation, fostering a spirit of collective hope and gratitude.
