The Federal Government has released the results of the 2024 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admissions into JSS1 of the Federal Unity Colleges.
The announcement was made by the Minister of State for Education, Yusuf Sununu, during a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
Sununu reported that one candidate achieved the highest score of 203. Out of 71,291 registered candidates, 66,931 took the exam, while 4,360 were absent. The maximum score was 210, with the lowest score being one, obtained by 13 candidates.
An unprecedented 52 candidates (two from Lagos State and 50 from Rivers State) were involved in examination malpractice.
For the Federal Government Academy (FGA) examination, 2,649 candidates registered, 2,336 sat for the exam, and 313 were absent. The highest score was 180, and the lowest was five.
The minister reiterated that the admission criteria for Federal Unity Colleges remain unchanged: 60% merit, 30% state equality, and 10% exigency. He instructed the Senior Secondary Education Department to complete all admission processes promptly and in accordance with these criteria.
