NAOSS APPRECIATES OGUN GOVERNOR, DAPO ABIODUN FOR RESTORING EDUCATION CRISIS

The Students under the aegis of National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), has condemned the immediate past governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun over the state of education under his administration in the last 8 years.

The students who disclosed this during a press conference in Abeokuta, Ogun State said that the administration led by Senator Ibikunle Amosun plunged the education of the state into numerous crises.

The President of the association, Comrade Saka Azeez Abidemi said this while speaking on behalf of the Association. He noted that the former governor has failed in the area of bursary payment to indigenous students as well as disbursement of scholarship to deserving indigenous students across the three senatorial districts of Ogun State.

NAOSS therefore commended the present governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR for declaring a state of emergency in the education sector and for resuscitating the lost glory of Olabisi Onabanjo Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) from losing its accreditation and setting up a visitation panel to resolve the prolonged crisis dealing with Tai Solarin College of Education.

“We applaud the giant stride of the present administration under the leadership of Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR towards rescuing Ogun state education from the shambles done to it by the immediate past administration, He said.

The President also called on the government, to look into its demands of the students which the previous government has failed to met, and also urged the State Governor to correct the errors and do the needful for Ogun State Students”

He concluded by calling on all members and stakeholders of the association to support the government towards achieving the agenda of Building their future together.
