The Nigerian Senate has replaced Senator Ali Ndume with Senator Tahir Munguno as its Chief Whip.

The decision was made during a session of the upper chamber on Wednesday, following a unanimous vote by the Senators.

Senator Munguno’s appointment comes after the Senate received a letter from the All Progressives Congress (APC) headquarters, complaining about Senator Ndume’s controversial statements.

With his new role, Senator Munguno is expected to play a key role in the Senate’s legislative agenda and provide leadership to his colleagues.”
